Vapor Intrusion Testing
Centek Laboratories Air Testing Laboratory has extensive experience sampling and analyzing a broad range of air contaminants including, but not limited to, Volatile Compounds, Air Toxics, and Hazardous Air Pollutants. In fact, Centek Laboratories opened it doors in 2003 working with New York State to develop and implement the NYSDOH Soil Vapor Intrusion Guidance. To this day, the NYSDOH Vapor Intrusion Guidance is regarded as one of the most recognized documents relevant to Vapor Intrusion Sampling and Analysis.
Centek Laboratories has the analytical expertise and project management capabilities to support a variety of soil vapor intrusion and indoor air investigations.
Centek offers specialized sampling programs to fit your projects budget and sampling / analytical goals.
- Soil Gas Vapor Intrusion Testing
- Indoor Air Vapor Intrusion Testing
- Ambient Air Testing
- Helium Leak Testing
- Soil Gas Tracers
- Appropriate Methods and Procedures
Subsurface Vapor Intrusion has become a topic of particular interest due to factors including:
- Increased recognition of Vapor Intrusion as an important exposure pathway
- Greater emphasis on the remediation of contaminated sites that introduce harmful substances into indoor air
- The recent publication of key state and federal Vapor Intrusion Guidance documents
Centek Laboratories is accredited by both NYSDOH and AIHA Lap (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) to run EPA Method TO-15, as well as several other local, state, and federal programs. Most current guidance documents recommend the use of EPA Method TO-15. Contact the laboratory for our most up-to-date accreditation information.
Centek Laboratories are expert analysts of fuel hydrocarbons in the air from gasoline, diesel, oil, mineral spirits, bunker fuel, jet fuel, etc., and other specific compounds of concern. Specific target compounds for analysis include but are not limited to benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, fuel aromatics, fuel oxygenates (MTBE, ETBE, TAME, TBA, DIPE), and chlorinated solvents (PCE, TCE and their breakdown products such as vinyl chloride, 1,1-DCE, and others). In addition to Centek’s TO-15 list is the ability to scan for over 170,000 additional hazardous compounds within the air matrix.
Our state-of-the-art instrumentation, in many cases, is specifically designed and modified by our technical staff to achieve low detection limits while maintaining the highest quality data for your Vapor Intrusion Projects. Centek Laboratories has experience working with large conglomerates, government agencies, as well as smaller private firms and homeowners.
